Mr Burnham announced plans to scrap car parking charges for everyone admitted to hospital within three years at this year’s Labour Party conference.
He said: yesterday:”The time has come for a fairer, more consistent approach to parking across the NHS.”Parking is free at most hospitals in Scotland and Wales and for some patients in Northern Ireland.
