Willie Bain Labour Candidate for Glasgow North East







About Willie Bain:


Willie Bain, 36, is the only local candidate of the main parties in this election and he lives in the constituency, on the same estate he grew up on (the Carron estate).


He was born in Stobhill Hospital, and went to St Roch's Secondary School. His dad William was a lift engineer and his mum Catherine was a payroll clerk. Willie was the first person in his family to go to university, and he studied law at Strathclyde. He decided not to become a lawyer but to stay in education. He now teaches public law. Willie is the secretary of the constituency Labour Party, and a member of Amnesty International. He has never stood in an election before.
